Energy data at hand, insights and smart charging via an App.
Sustainability and keeping a grip on your energy consumption is currently more important than ever. With the help of the Eneco Smart Meter App, people in Flanders (Belgium) can improve their behaviour with regard to their energy needs. I was allowed to design this App in collaboration with a great team.

Collecting (continuous) user data
Belgium's energy market is gaining momentum with the increasing adoption of smart meters. Our app aims to provide users with detailed insights into energy consumption and promote sustainable behavior. Key features include an 'energy breakdown' to identify high-consumption devices and cost monitoring on the dashboard, comparing usage to historical data and family profiles. With our user-friendly interface and personalized insights, managing energy usage has never been easier.
This App was made with the intention to keep developing it with new exciting features. In mid-March we went live with the integration of the so-called 'home energy management system'. The first phase is being able to charge your electric car, where you as a user give the App control to do this. As a user, you can set when the car should be loaded and whether this is sustainable, cost-saving or as quickly as possible. In the future, this should also become possible with other electrical products.

“Cees delivered the designs we needed, before we knew what we actually needed. Cees listened closely to our descriptions and feedback and wasn't afraid to constructively challenge assumptions until our front-end design made sense. He is also a very nice person to work with!”
